After browsing through their packages, we chose a 6-day tour of Kashmir, which covered all the major attractions in the region. The team at BKV Holidays & Visa Travel Agency was very professional and accommodating, and they made sure that our trip was a comfortable and memorable experience.
Our Kashmir trip started with our arrival at Srinagar International Airport, where we were greeted by a representative from the travel agency. He helped us with our luggage and escorted us to our private car, which was waiting for us outside the airport. The car was well-maintained and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable ride.
Our first stop was at the iconic Dal Lake, where we had booked a stay on a traditional houseboat. The houseboat was well-equipped with all the modern amenities, and we enjoyed the scenic view of the lake from our room. We also went on a shikara ride on the lake, which was a truly enchanting experience.
The next day, we visited the Mughal Gardens, which are a group of gardens built by the Mughal emperors in the 16th century. The gardens are known for their terraced lawns, fountains, and flowerbeds, and we were mesmerized by their beauty. We also visited the Shankaracharya Temple, which is a famous Hindu temple located on a hilltop, offering a panoramic view of the city.
On the third day, we headed to Gulmarg, a famous ski resort located in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. The journey from Srinagar to Gulmarg was breathtaking, with snow-capped mountains and lush green meadows surrounding us on all sides. We also went on a Gondola ride, which is the world’s highest cable car ride and offers a stunning view of the entire valley.
The next day, we visited Pahalgam, a scenic town located on the banks of the Lidder River. We took a horse ride to the famous Betaab Valley, which is known for its lush green meadows and crystal-clear streams. We also visited the Aru Valley, which is famous for its scenic beauty and adventure activities.
Our last stop was at Sonmarg, a picturesque town located in the Sindh Valley. We visited the Thajiwas Glacier, which is a popular tourist spot known for its stunning views and adventure activities like skiing and sledging.
